You can take tours of the facility and learn about the history of the building. Raven Run Nature Sanctuary

Lexington History Museum

The Lexington History Museum offers several exhibits about local history, including an exhibit about Abraham Lincoln’s childhood years in Kentucky. Visitors can explore a recreation of the Lincoln family cabin where he lived as a child, which includes period furniture and tools used by farmers during that time period. The museum also has regular programs such as lectures and walking tours of historic sites in Lexington.

This museum features more than 20 galleries that showcase the history of Lexington from its earliest days as a frontier settlement through its status as an important city in today’s world. Visitors can see many artifacts from the Revolutionary War and Civil War as well as other historical periods and events.

Grey Goose Farm Horse Shows and more

You can find Grey Goose Farm to the east of Nicholasville in Jessamine County. It’s just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Fayette Mall, making it easy for you to get here if you want to check out their events. They offer horse shows as well as other fun activities like trail rides, lessons, and even horse boarding.

The best part is that they have discounts on tickets if you buy them online in advance!

Headley-Whitney Museum Garden

The Headley-Whitney Museum Garden is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The garden is open to the public and features a beautiful view of the Kentucky River, as well as one of the most picturesque views of the Central Kentucky bluegrass region.

Located on Lake Mingo Road, this park has a playground, picnic pavilions, and a fishing pier. It’s a great place for a family picnic or just to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. You can also take your dog here! If you’re looking to stay active while you’re in Nicholasville, this park is an excellent choice because of its many amenities: running trails, walking paths, biking trails, and even horseback riding trails!

Combat Ops Entertainment Center

And finally if you are in mood for some Painball games, head over to Combat Ops Entertainment Center. It offers indoor paintball games for all ages, including a zombie game at night.

The center has two fields: one with an indoor maze and one with an outdoor field with obstacles such as bunkers and trees to hide behind while shooting your opponents! After playing paintball you can cool off in their swimming pool or try out their bungee trampoline!
